Fasting and Prayer

                 Fasting and Prayer goes together.This is when you do without food and sometimes without water for a period of time and accompanied with prayer.

                 There are times people eat only fruit and they pray and seek the face of God.There are times people only drink water without food and they pray to seek the face of God.

                 There are fasting you eat food without salt and you pray seeking the face of God.

                  The bible says they that wait upon shall mount up with wings as eagles,they shall run and not be weary,they shall  walk and not faint.

                 Fasting gives strength for the journey.There are some Christians who are feather weight when you fast and pray you become heavy weight.

                   You must set aside time to fast and pray.You don't go around swimming and partying because you enemy is not sleeping.

                   You must develop yourselve in fasting and Prayer.An arm robber,who does not develop himself or herself will be caught up by the police, so why you as a Christian won't develop yourself in seeking the face of the Lord in fasting and Prayer.

                   A man was not fasting and praying.He was caught by the devil.He was caught up by the weird wind,by the time he landed he could not remember anything.His wife had to be teaching him ABC,123.You see the need why you need fasting and Prayer.

                   Matt 7:7 Ask and it shall be given to you,seek and you shall find, knock and the door shall be open unto you. You ask God in prayer.

                  The Bible says if two of you shall agree and ask God in prayer as touching anything in prayer,the Lord will answer.

                 There are people who fasted in the Bible.Moses is one of them.Moses fasted for forty days and forty nights without food and water.Moses did this twice.How do we know that he was without food and water?The Bible tells us that after this he hunger and he tastied.That means he was without food and water.

               Elijah fasted for forty days and forty nights without food and water.And the Bible tells us that he went in that strength for forty days after eating the divine food brought to him.

              Jesus Christ fasted for forty days without food but he drank water.How do we know that Jesus fasted forty days without food but he drank water?is that the Bible says that he hungered.The Bible never told as that he hungered and tastied like the case of Elijah and Moses.

                   There are things in your life that won't go or get solved except you fast and pray.You remember when the disciples prayed for someone and there was no solution.Jesus prayed for the person and the problem was solved.The disciples asked Jesus why couldn't we solve this problem with our prayers.Jesus said howbeit this kind goes out expect by fasting and Prayer.That means there are things that will not be solved except by fasting and Prayer.

                  Paul the apostle was giving to fasting.That must have helped him in the ministry.That is why he said in fastings often.In fastings often, you see there is an "s" in the fasting.That is he fastied frequently.He fasted often.

                 There is a man or there was a man who fasted,an after fasting he breaks the fast with coconut and garri.People started calling him"Woli Alagbon"that means the were calling him "coconut pastor or prophet".But after a time his life changed and he was giving things to people after suffering.

                  You see as a minister there is a price to pay.This price is not cheap.That is why you find ministers of God doing exploit.They paid the price in fasting and Prayer.

                    You may not fast forty days.But you can fast and pray for a day,two, three or more.I am an example of this.

                     To do expliot in the kingdom you must fast and pray.
